Mis-registration Preview
Developed to help avoid potential problems on press, this feature simulates the effect of press mis-registration. It allows users to check if the applied trapping distance covers the press tolerance.
Extreme Dot Gain
The Extreme Dot Gain feature in Star Proof has been developed to simulate the effect that plate pressure can have on printing processes such as carton or corrugated.
Dot Loss
A Dot lost function automatically removes defined highlight dots from the ripped 1 Bit Tiffs or Esko Len files prior to proofing. The resultant proof shows the effect of dots lost through the plate exposure and development process.
White Ink Support
The Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 inkjet device brings a new generation of Flexographic and Gravure proofing with Multi-substrate support and a new aquaeous based white ink.
Multiple Substrate Outputs
Star Proof supports the WT7900 in both reverse and surface printing modes; the former for transparent materials such as Clear, Shrink Wrap and Adhesive film, with the latter being used in instances of opaque substrates such as Metallic medias.
