Graphic Republik, the European distributor for Isi Graphic Systems’ MaxPro suite of high-end editing software, has been attracting a lot of interest to its dip stand (hall 7.0).

Managing director Steve Donegan (pictured with Isi managing director KK Lim) said that printers and pre-press professionals, particularly from the packaging sector, have been very excited by the software. “One person described it as revolutionary,” Donegan said.
The MaxPro RIP converts postscript, PDF, DCS and EPS files into editable raster files, which consist of a Continuous Tone (CT), High Resolution Continuous Tone (HCT) and Linework (LW) layer, providing a wide range of editing and trapping opportunities. Donegan said: “Because MaxPro is raster-based, whereas existing applications are all vector-based, it makes it an extremely powerful and flexible editing tool.”
